    1. Overall Screened Twisted Pair (OSTP)

A single aluminium-mylar screen covers all pairs collectively. Cost-effective for general field wiring from junction boxes to the control room where individual pair isolation is not mandatory.

    • Single overall Al-Mylar screen with one common drain wire
    • Lower cost than IS type — ideal for budget-sensitive projects
    • Available from 1 pair to 61 pairs
    • Versatile Insulation: Available with standard PVC, high-heat XLPE, or highly flexible EPR insulation materials.
    • Suitable for general-purpose 4–20mA signal circuits
    Specifications
    Pairs1P – 61P
    Size0.5 – 2.5 sq mm
    Voltage300V / 500V / 1100V
    ScreenOverall Al-Mylar
    StandardBS5308 Part 1 & 2, BS EN 50288 Part 3

Best ForOil & Gas, HV zones
    Premium Grade

    2. IS + OS Combined Double-Screen Cable

Maximum EMI/RFI rejection — individual pair screens PLUS an overall screen gives double-layer protection. Required in refineries, near HV equipment, and any environment with intense electromagnetic interference.

    • Two layers of screening — best-in-class EMI/RFI rejection
    • Preferred specification for DCS in oil & gas and petrochemicals
    • Drain wire at both the individual pair and the overall level
    • Versatile Insulation: Available with standard PVC, high-heat XLPE, or highly flexible EPR insulation materials.
    • Available armoured and unarmoured

    3. Overall Screened (OS) Twisted Triad Instrumentation Cable

Three conductors are precision-twisted together with a single, overall aluminium-mylar screen. This is the highly cost-effective standard for 3-wire RTD circuits and thermocouple compensation where general EMI protection is needed, but individual triad isolation is not mandatory.

    • 3-Conductor Precision Twist for RTD (PT100/PT1000) and temperature measurement loops.
    • Overall Signal Protection: A single Al-Mylar screen with a drain wire protects all triads collectively from external electrical noise.
    • 1triad up to 37 triads in a single cable
    • pharma, food processing, and general power plant temperature monitoring.
    Specifications
    Triads1T – 37T
    Size0.5 sq mm – 2.5 sq mm
    Voltage300V / 500V / 1100V
Best ForRTD, Thermocouple loops in standard noise environments
    Specifications
    Triads1T – 37T
    Size0.5 sq mm – 2.5 sq mm
    Voltage300V / 500V / 1100V
Best ForRTD, Thermocouple loops in high EMI/RFI environments

    4. Individual & Overall Screened (IS+OS) Twisted Triad Instrumentation Cable

Engineered for absolute signal integrity in high-noise industrial environments. Each 3-conductor triad is individually screened to prevent cross-talk, followed by an overall screen to block external electromagnetic interference.

    • 3-Conductor Precision Twist for complex, highly sensitive RTD (PT100/PT1000) and thermocouple circuits.
    • Absolute Signal Isolation: Individual Al-Mylar tape on every triad plus an overall screen guarantees zero cross-talk between adjacent temperature loops.
    • Available from 1 triad up to 37 triads in a single cable.
    • Essential for critical temperature monitoring in heavy automated plants, power generation, and high-voltage zones.

    5. Armoured Instrumentation Cable (GIA /Formed Wire/GST)

Engineered for maximum mechanical protection in harsh industrial environments, hazardous areas, and direct-burial applications. Choose from three premium armouring profiles (GIA, Formed Wire, or GST) to defend your critical screened signal cores against crushing impacts, tensile stress, and rodent damage.

    • Triple armouring options: GIA (Wire), Formed Wire (Strip), or GST (Tape)
    • Suitable for direct burial, outdoor routing, and heavy-duty cable trays
    • IS+OS or OS Al-Mylar screened cores locked safely inside the armour
    • PVC, HR, FRLS-H, or LSZH outer sheath over the armour layer

    6. FRLS-H / LSZH Fire-Rated Instrumentation Cable

Flame Retardant Low Smoke (FRLS) or Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) sheathed cables for fire-sensitive enclosed installations. Mandatory for metros, airports, pharma clean rooms, LNG facilities, and offshore platforms.

    • Self-extinguishing — does not propagate flame along the cable run
    • LSZH variant generates zero halogen gas — safe for enclosed spaces
    • Complies with IEC 60332 (flame) and IEC 60754 (halogen content)
    • Available in IS, OS, IS+OS, and armoured constructions

    FAQs On Submersible Cables

Instrumentation cables carry low-level analogue or digital signals (4–20mA, 0–10V, RTD, thermocouple) and must have twisted pairs/triads with EMI shielding (Al-Mylar screen + drain wire) to prevent signal distortion from electrical interference.

Control cables carry switching signals at higher voltages (110V, 230V, 415V) and do not require shielding. Using a control cable in a DCS instrumentation loop causes signal noise, measurement errors, and loop calibration failures.

Individual Screened (IS): Each pair has its own Al-Mylar screen and drain wire. Eliminates cross-talk between signal loops in a multi-pair cable. Essential for DCS multi-loop systems.

Overall Screened (OS): One screen covers all pairs. More economical. Adequate for single-loop or where all pairs carry signals from the same instrument.

IS + OS: Double layer protection — required in high-EMI environments like refineries and near HV transformers.

0.5 sq mm — Short-distance wiring inside panels and marshalling cabinets (under 50m)
0.75 sq mm — Standard field runs up to 200–250m for 4–20mA loops
1.0 sq mm — General purpose field runs, medium distance
1.5 sq mm — Long-distance field wiring (300m+), intrinsically safe circuits
2.5 sq mm — Solenoid valve power, high-current field devices, very long runs
We can calculate the exact conductor size based on your loop resistance requirement. Contact us with your transmitter model and cable run length.

Yes. Every batch from our Bhiwadi factory comes with a Mill Test Certificate (MTC) covering conductor resistance, insulation resistance, spark test, and dimensional data as per the applicable IS/IEC standard.

For EPC and government project orders, we support third-party inspection by agencies such as RITES, Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, or any client-nominated inspector. Pre-dispatch inspection can be arranged at our factory with advance notice.

Yes, we regularly manufacture custom OEM configurations including:

    Non-standard core counts (e.g. 7-pair, 15-triad, mixed pair+triad)
Special insulation colour codes as per customer BOM or IEC standard
    Custom reel lengths (100m, 250m, 500m, 1000m drums)
Private labelling with your brand/project name printed on sheath
Special sheath colours (grey, blue, black, red, orange)
Combined pair + triad cables in a single design

Standard PVC: Most economical. Adequate for general industrial use. Releases halogen gases when burned — not suitable for enclosed spaces.

FRLS-H: Flame Retardant Low Smoke — self-extinguishing, low smoke density. Required for buildings, metros, hospitals. Still contains halogens.

LSZH / ZHFR: Zero halogen gas emission. Mandatory in tunnels, ships, offshore platforms, pharma cleanrooms, nuclear facilities. Higher cost but critical for personnel safety in enclosed spaces.
